IS200 - Intrinsically Safe Positioner

 

The IS200 provides accessible control for electro-hydraulic valve actuators within Zone 0 areas, typically on a choke valve at the wellhead. Full manual control, calibration and configuration is available on the front panel of the instrument and, because of IS certification, all operations are available when the hazard is present.

 

An optional HART version of the IS200 can be specified.

Simple to use

 

 

The IS200 is an essential component in the control of electro-hydraulic actuators. This compact instrument switches the solenoids of the actuator such that it moves to the position dictated by an incoming analogue command signal. The actual position of the actuator, measured by a position transducer, is conditioned by the IS200 and re-transmitted back to the central control system as a scaled analogue signal.

 

The positioner is calibrated by a simple two-step procedure. Other features include actuator speed control by pulsing the control solenoids, signal break and fault detection with default positioning and hydraulic pump control.
